can anyone shine some light on my latest problem, my mil light had an intermittant fault, after weeks of head scratching and endless sugestions i finally gave in, and dealer had to reset the nats immobiliser system ( nissan anti theft system). i previously reset the keys, but noticed the plips were becomming slow in activating the central locking, it was suggested i change the batteries before they fail altogether. i bought 4 new CR1620 button batteries, and replaced them according to their polarity but now the central locking dont work on the plips:eek: where have i gone wrong now, the guy at nissan said its an easy fix since nissan wanted to charge me £20 to change them plus the cost of the batteries:doh no thanks, i picked up 4---lithium batteries from our local ironmongers, yes there is still one trading in the valleys, but after installing they still dont work:doh any ideas anyone.

OK if you look at the other thread on this issue, you will see the post from Briggie re workshop 14, well this is not quite correct, I have one that I know works as have done it many times, ignition on and off 6 times within 10 seconds when the hazard lights have flashed twice, remove the key from ignition, hold the UNLOCK button and press the LOCK button 3 times, then release the UNLOCK button, the hazard lights should flash once, reinsert the key and turn on, the hazard lights should flash twice, done, Rick
