well, I just have to say how pleased I am.
so ive owned my Mazda for over 4.5 years now, and its been very reliable. Sure ive fixed things over the years, some major, some minor things, but shes always surpised me.
Air con has NEVER worked since I bought it, and going by receipts was last gassed in 2005!
anyhoo, when I bought the car, the heating system was knackered, so i fixed it by fitting new resister and heater control switch behind the main panel, but i never sorted the air con, presuming it to be screwed due to the amount of time left, heating problems etc, and im not very well off so couldnt afford £50 to be told its knackered, so I left it.
I decided this time round its about time i figured out whats going on with it, so got a mobile air con guy out, ABCarairconditioning, nice chap. He came out, pressure tested, 7bar which by all accounts is very good. then he cleaned the system and gassed. did a quick test and the relays clicked on etc, he then finished off and put in the dye and got me to do a full blast test, so i switched on the system and hey presto the air con sprung to life first time, blasting very cold air!
testament to Mazda reliability! I love Mazda's. So far its been fine, but i understand i need to keep an eye on it over the next few days etc for leaks, but at least I know the system works so if any leaks occur, thats easily fixed.
im extremely pleased because ive never had a car with air con untill this one, and now its working i can keep cool during these hot days!
the whole process cost me £50, and didnt take long at all, very efficient service.
