Spring adventure ???? At Driffield ???? Whats that entale exactly ? Sounds intriguing ! I think :?

re pics, is that like a standard green laning day (more rain more mud etc obviously ) involves?
How do bog standard t2's etc cope as i wouldn't fancy having to connect a tow rope in the middle of one of them puddles
don't fancy telling the better half to "just tie it round the eye, i can't leave the wheel" either.

These piccies are a collection over the last twelve months, I don't think you would have any problems in those puddles, they tend to be the easy bits - LOL
I have done al this in a standard Navara with low profile tyres so shouldn't cause you an issue

Hi, just found this thread looks like fun. Is this green laning day suitable for complete novices. When i say complete novice i have only ever driven on tarmac before  . If it is suitable do i need to do anything different to my T2 :?: e.g different tyres, tow bar electrics & so on :!:. This might sound a daft question , how do you prevent the water going into the engine, when going through those large puddles :?: . Look forward to your reply

11 may offroad

the first lanes outing i went on was in march this year.the only thing that concerned me was the brake over angle as i have a lwb and didnt like the idea of see sawing on the top of a mound but i had no problems at all.i had a t tyres basicly standard.as for the puddles most look alot deeper than they are,and it will take quite an amout of deep water to cause the engine any harm.i didn't get a scratch on mine and very pleased how well it coped with the lanes.hope you do come as its a good adventure if it's your first time

It sounds like it would be good fun, and i would also like to see what my T2 is capable of doing. Just concerned because i do not know what the drill is on these green laning days and what is involved. If i go i hope that i do not make to big a fool of myself, although it wont be the first time I'm sure.
Although the wife seems keen.
