Not sure that I've got an EGR on my 96 (P) 2.7TDi
I looked but can't see it!!!
My Air Filter cover is side on, different to the one in the pic on the EGR Download. In fact it all looks different!

The Air Filter cover has a square block on it, with an electrical device mounted directly behind it, so how would I mount a K&N type Filter?

your EGR is on the drivers side of the engine, at the back behind the last injector..peer in there, you will see a single bit of rubber pipe fixing to the top of it, and its cylindrical sort of...follow those pipes up over the engine block to the solenoids underneath your filter housing.

The box on top of the filter is the MAF - clean that CAREFULLy by removing and spraying the delicate thin wire inside with electrical contact cleaner.

if you were to fit an INDUCTION, you would simply remove the housing, and replace with the Induction hose and filter-the MAF will stay where it is.
