Maverick central locking problem

My central locking on my 1998 Maverick has started not working everytime sometimes it works perfectly and then others i get a clunk/click from the central locking but none of the doors lock?

Try a new Battery in the Remote, that might work better!

I thought that and poss recode it but the car is getting a signal when it dosnt lock cos i can here the central locking click but not lock?

Somthing could need lubricating or has came loose in the drivers door, as I think that controls the others, it does on mine anyway:thumb2
