hi all help needed once again, while driving my mav yesterday, the brake warning light came on when i pressed the brake, when i took my foot of it went out the brake peadle was very hard to push and the car was taking some stopping this was all under normal driving conditions what i did notice was that when i reved the engine up the light went out you had to push your backside right into the seat to stop it its that bad,i took the pipe of that goes to the servo there was vacum in the pipe up to the rubber pipe that goes to the servo on the bulk head.basicly the brake is rock hard when you push it,are we looking at the servo or master cylinder or pump on the back of altinator there is no loss of brake fluid i looked at all the inside of the wheels to see if there was any fluid loss need to sort as is my main car ps the bit that says when i reved it up and the light went out the car was not in drive had foot on the brake when reved it up cheers paul

it sounds like the vacuum pump on the back of the alternator or the pipe to the servo

It definitely sounds like a srevo assistance issue, let us know how you get on.

Lee. :thumbs

definately sounds like vacuum problem, if your vacuum pump is on the alternator it'2 fairly straight forward job to clean and reverse vanes, mine was under fuel injection pump but was'nt to bad to get at from under vehicle, and it cured some of my problems. :thumb2
