Today I swapped out my sometimes working sometimes not auto hubs for some AVM manual ones, nice easy swap took some pics as well, I'll post them later when I get on my pc.

Very happy with my AVM manual hubs - but you do have to keep an eye on them; the Allen bolts holding the hub on my T2 have a tendency to come loose. I'm thinking of stripping and degreasing everything and applying some loctite on those bolts.

I had AVMs on my old truck that's just been written off and I found them great. Didn't have a problem with the bolts though. If my project truck gives me grief it too might get AVMs but have a set of fixed hubs in my garagetoo. The benefit of manual hubs is being able to use low box whilst still effectively having 2wd.

Gotta love the manual hubs :thumbs

Wheelie, don't bin your auto hubs, you can easily convert Trol auto hubs into pretty sturdy manual hubs (sure I did a thread on it).

I love my auto hubs :thumb2
Just too lazy really to get out and lock them :lol

I did the easy Aussie mod from stock auto to manual hubs. Works a treat, but,as said, you do have to leave the comfort of the cab to click them over.
2WD low box in the Alps is really brilliant.:thumb2
