Hi guys,
I have the typical blowy exhaust manifold joint that the petrol models seem to suffer with. I paid a guy to try and fix it, which he did but over a couple of months and several longdistance motorway trips the blow has re-appeared. I bobbed back to see him and asked if there was anything further we could do but he just recommended getting a replacement manifold.

Can anyone help?

Anyone got a good used one or know where to get a new one?

Thanks for your help!

I have a spare engine in the barn somewhere, think it has a manifold on it, will have a look later today and see what it is like, Rick

If R ick has no luck :bow :nenau try " cncfabs " or resident breaker :augie :lol :thumbs

Yes I have a manifold, I have seen two types this one has the egr pipe exiting at the rear, but I do have to ask why you should need it anyway, it is more likely to be down to not cleaning the head faces and manifold properly in the first place, it is not a difficult job to do on the 2.4, and with good gaskets should have no problem, I changed my engine 3 to 4 K miles ago and did not even bother with new gaskets, good as gold, any way if you need it £10 plus shipping, Rick

Looked at the manifold pic, mine does not have the oxy sensor on it, mine is further down on the front pipe, so Muckypup will need to check that point, Rick

That link dont work for me.

The oxy sensor is underneath the car by the bend of the down pipe.

I need a manifold because it was blowing bad, so I sent it to Budget who bodged it for me, but a few week later after some hard work the blow is re-appearing. I took it back to see if he could have another go and it was recommended I bught a manifold due to corrosion stopping a good seal???

I dont have the facilities to look at it myself as you have to strip bits away from the underside to get to the manifold, and when led on your back this is a problem!

Solarman - did you see my last note? My oxy sensor is on my down pipe no where near the manifold. Is that what you've got?

STILL NEED A MANIFOLD IF ANYONE HAS ONE :thumbs
