I cant stand everything sliding up and down the boot.
thats my only moan about the terrano theres not enough nooks and crannys to put stuff.

When you tip the rear seats forward there are two small compartments either side of the trolly jack suitable for a good size first aid kit and a few essentials.

I cant fix cars so I wont need to get at any of these tools very often.
But its very handy to have it all with you.
all my important stuff will be in the side storage compartments

You have clearly made the decision to make your 7 seater into a five seater, which looking at the way you have done it, you have made it possible to revert back to the original layout, assuming you have kept all the old bits... :lol

You are right regarding storage in the Terrano/Maverick there is a shortage, where to put the jump leads, tow rope spade, basic tools etc.

I actually like what you have done as you have created a flat floor more suitable for the carriage of items rather than have them falling over.
The layout lends it's self to having Thunderbird 2 type pods, which could have different items in for different tasks.

I would consider some form of locking the covers down to ensure that things aren't flying around under the worst circumstances.:doh

For the last 6 months, my third row of seats has been out of the car, I only put them in last night prior to the MOT, oh did I say that it passed today without any advisories .:doh

So do I really need them in the car?

lol. I think you did mention once or twice your motor passed:clap.
the lids are a very tight fit but velcro would keep them firm over the roughest terrain.
with a rubber mat on top too to hide your valuable tools n stuff.
I may even incorporate a small safe to secure cash or valuables if your naked on a beach for example.
all cables and essensials are eaisily accesable which is a good job as i used VERY strong glue and its very permanent.
and yes the rear roller boot cover went for 99p on ebay so did the terrano 2 spare wheel cover.
the rear seat belts were removed and the rear seat went on ebay for 99p and didnt sell?
so Ive decided to keep it and strip the leather off to use in the truck somewhere.
and will use the foam for summat.
scrap man can have the rest unless i can make a abouve cab roof light rail with it.
as for the seven seats.
call me an inconsiderate tw3t. espesially having 5 grandsprogs an elderly person to look after ect.
they can get a taxi, this is my toy.:naughty

Well mine is the earlier version, and they were never designed to come out in the first place, but I modified the hinge pin, ie removed it, fitted a clevis pin with an R clip on the outside.

All this before the later ones were designed to do this.:thumbs.

Still a pain though, as it is quite heavy.

Nice job you've done. I recently sold my storage system to put 3rd row seats back in (just incase i need em) then found the dog crate wouldnt fit so built a load board to fit over folded seats:doh
