pft, you're just pushing my buttons now Zippy :lol:lol:lol clean :doh

Your fabricator used to make Panzers did he ?? Holy c**p those must be heavy !!

Make sure they are sealed, and no water or mud can get in.

Maybe fit an oil sump type plug to remove to drain or waxoyl inside.

Now these are 3mm, originals arn't much more than 1 mm.
So you now have jacking points, let alone rock sliders.
Will the bodywork take that ? As rock sliders normally attach to the chassis.:nenau

Going to leave a good size drain hole in the bottom so the sunroof drains can drain :thumb2
Jacking is the idea :sly thats why there's a long side on them. It goes all the way up to the inner floor pan so spreads the load along the whole sill length.
Didn't want chassis mounted sliders as there too far away from the action (leverage) and will just get in the way. These will allow for rough landings I hope :naughty

Question, is there now a danger that a rough landing might now try and remove the body from the chassis? :nenau

pete how come you didn't use some box section? surely would of been cheaper.

How is the rear bumper comming on, I think I need to stick my name down for one. I bought a new stub axle and hub.

Just wanted a bit more subtle and this should be stronger too 'cause it goes right up to the inner floor.
Back bumper done, will put pics up tomorrow

I like the idea of the extra meat going up to the inner floor but same could be done with box section.

Still like them though, how much he charging for them?

These were 50 quid each, He reckoned that 3mm box was very similar price, but there wasn't a size close enough for me anyway :D
New prices to follow :naughty

Things are coming along....................................slowly

Yep, now that is a rock slider, but I will be content with a length of scaffold tube welded in place of the sill, Rick
