so no rom for air con AND winch then,..

as my car is full of girls
and me no, im not a girl

Very neat and tidy but you may regret not being able to see the drum of the winch, you'll have no idea how the rope is laying.

YES WELL PRICE :augie
Bit of a sore point that:cool:
I've spent a bit more than I wanted of course, but then there is a bit more done you aint seen yet:sly
There is also a huge angled skid plate thing that fits under the bumper (holes take ages), and2 huge great recovery loops welded to the side of the chassis.

Materials about £80
Welding about £260 :doh

The next one will be less but waitng to try mine out in anger next week end to see what mods may be needed.

It could be done cheaper but I wanted the thing to be the same size/profile as std bumper. Mine is in fact smaller:sly
I've also gone for sunken inset indicaters, instead of bolt for example.

Oh yeh a few tins of Black

maybe a lift out panel just above so can be removed when winch is working

Yeh I wondered about that and decided to try it out and if it's a prob then cut out the top bit after:eek:
We'll see next weekend no doubt:lol

Sorry Zippy I've no idea how much space is taken by "air con":augie
Would only need the mounting brackets making longer though:thumbs

Any idea how much the whole thing weighs?
I knew you'd ask that:D
I weighed he plastic bit I took off, and the sub bumper bit and that was 9kg off the car.
Then I "meant" to weigh the new one before refitting, and er forgot:doh
BUT I can throw it round easily enough and will tell you next week the weight:rolleyes:
It's coming off again to fit the winch in properly etc

well i like it a lot..... pm or text me a price and ill order one

my only question how is it mounted to the truck. thats all i need to know.

you doing one for the back as well, with winch ??

and one for each side so you can pull it back onto its wheels when needed?????

OI:p
No the back bumper is just being trimmed a lot to let big wheels in:augie
Only need one winch to right myself:thumbs

That looks very nice Pete.

You doin a good job there mate:thumb2

Well its on and well hard:sly
Just got back from working away so will be taking it off again tomorrow:eek:
It's going to have the winch wired up and the skid plate fitted etc.:thumbs
Prob get pics up tomorrow night with new no. plate etc:cool:
Oh yeh and I've got to cut a slot to see whats going on with the winch drum:eek:

Right I've modified it to see what the drum is doing:thumbs
Also fitted the isolater switch where the ford badge used to be:cool:
Weight is 24kg without the winch. As a guide I weighed my old nudge bars and they were 19kg!
So if you had just taken off the plastic bumper and the sub bumper thats 9kg and happened to have had a bull bar then this will be 4kg lighter:sly
