Hi
Has anyone tried one of these boxes that plug into your loom and claim better mpg and gives you more power.Would it be worth it fitting one on my 2.7 tdi as i will be towing a caravan many Thanks Bryan:confused:

why put one on for in the first place ,, a good 2,7 terrano will have the pulling power you need mate ,, but a good friend of my had one fitted to his terrano 2,7 and it works fine but he has it fitted to a swicth so he can flick it on when he see a bank in front of him ,, but do you what to spend a few hundred ££££ just for a little extra power :nenau save ya pennys mate :thumb2

Well against the replies so far, I would totally recommend a tuning box or remap for the TDi, and a 'must-have' if you are going to tow even the tinsyiest trailer. Often an improvment in mpg driven normally.

Turns it into the vehicle it should've been from the factory. I started off with a box initially- the transformation is unbelieveable, no longer do you struggle for momentum, worry about being able to start off on a hill or be limited to 30mph on a steep incline.

What ya mean it messes your ecu? :p
I've got a Tunit box fitted and it's brilliant, cant be without it now :D I mean if someone gives you an extra 20 brake why would you want to switch it off :doh
I've now got LPG on as well , and that really does make it fun :naughty
POWER :thumbs
Buy one , they're ace...............................FACT

well i dont realy know as it was fitted by the company that sold it to him ,, may have sumit to do with the chip and if it dos start messing with the ecu you can go back to the normal driving mode :nenau,, but hey dont realy care :augie

If the "chip" (it isnt really a chip at all) is not quite calibrated correctly, then it can force the ECU into limp mode because the 'adjusted' signals the ecu gets back are out of the window it expects.
