MAF Unit.. Old Question I Know..

But done a search here and was not help.

Got in the van last night to get home from work & when I fired her up as soon as I give her some gas the yellow engine light came on, she won't rev at all.

Let her tick over for about 10 min's and she was fine, took the Mav unit of today and now have a question!

If you look at the 2 sensers inside the tube should they look like they are covered in plastic, or should they be bare metal?

Thanks give it a clean with brake cleaner looks like new now.
