MAF SENSOR 2.7TDI 1998 swb manual

does anyone know if we can change the existing hitachi maf sensor for a bosch one...i realise the plugs may be different but the manual sais the tests on the unit are the same etc so surely they must work the same..?

the new hitachi ones are around £400 the bosch are around £40......

I'm afraid its not possible. Well not without the rest of the bosch fuel system anyhow..

there was a t2 lwb in a breakers in newhaven, that had a hitachi maf on a while back but worth a punt.

there must be loads in breakers around though. and although people moan about the maf i suspect its rarely the maf at fault

ill try to find out..... also try pete makeitfit he has a breaker down the road from him with several t2's in... and his truck is hitachi system so can test it prior to posting...if you get him to get you one
