From what I see, it shouldn't make any difference.

There is an adjustment pot, so you can tweak it a bit anyway, should the snorkel be reducing the airflow. The Amp it's self makes no difference to the actual air going in though, it just pretends to the ECU that there is more air going in than there really is.

Cool :thumb2

If anything I would have thought that the snorkel increases air flow as it's being forced in as the truck is being driven along as the entry vent is external and not under the bonnet :nenau

Thanks for the image, and for the reply. I look forward to seeing the images as well.

Much appreciated.

OK, here you go...

Mounting position...

Same as TrophyMicks, but I turned mine 90 degrees, so I could get to the adjustment fairly easily

As mentioned, I did open it up, and run the wire out the back of the box, rather than how it was when it came, out the front. To do this, you will need to use a Dremil, or some such to open up the hole, and round the edge for the cable to come out past the PCB, but only on the case top, as the base will fit on the other way round.

Passed through the Firewall using a convenient grommet.

Socket fitted into the MAF Lead.

Sounds as though I should exit the cable on the opposite side in future...

Thanks for doing that. It looks really good.

Just need to find time to fit it now.

just an update really, they are available now from Ray £50 plus £3 post, and they do work, Rick

This is going down on my Birthday Present list so if you're still knocking these out in december, I'm in :D

I just want to get the motor turned into a commercial first which should be happening sometime this week then hopefully suspension lift and body lift and some fine tuning for a few little niggles that I've got :D

I know this will increase fueling at low RPM but roughly at what rev range does the amp taper off ? TBH i'm looking for something that covers most of the rev range for future towing & when I want to have some fun on the back roads:lol just the old tune it boxes aren't popping up that often now:eek:

you tell me when you want to come down and I will take a day out, I need an excuse, Rick

Will be very interested in one of these on payday! Will this work with a hitachi maf?

yes it does as ray set it to be adjustable down to zero, I had the first prototype and fitted it to a Hitachi maf it was set too high and ray sent me a workround which works, but all later ones can be set for both maf's, Rick

Brilliant will be getting one end of the month then, I am fine with electrics used to help my dad as an. Electrician and also had business fitting car audio many years back haha
