Hi rbrt you could do what i've done & thats get a small plastic step & fit some string onto it so once in you can pull the step in after you or lower it down before getting out  I don't have a prob but my wife is'nt that tall & the same go's for my Mam but she has alot of probs so it makes things easier for them

wow elton, coming on well. could be route for me too. look at the air in those arches, is that the suspension or body lift?

i know it goes against the grain but if body lifted would need to leave
steps on for mrs and kids. would it create an odd gap or should steps
be jacked up as well ( remounted )?

thats a spring lift i beleive with small ish wheels and the steps fit the same they follow the lift

if you body lift you wil have a gap above the steps... but you could pack them up

but as a caravaner you will need an ajustable tow bar or lower it

Nice idea Neil, several years ago saw some really cool electric steps that would drop as doors opened. guess think of the old landy ones motorised.

perhaps whilst messing with suspension go with air bags then can kneel
to load like a rangie lse/hse, that said gather thery are so troublesome
that there are several coil conversion kits. 8O

body lift

thats just with the spring lift at the mo.i was going to leave the side steps on but move the brackets to keep them in the same place as they are.just the lack of cash at the mo thats stopping me doing much more than i have.
