LWB rails on my SWB

Got round to fixing my roof rails on today:thumbs
Got some LWB ones off ebay for £25:sly
Wanted some so I could fit onto my SWB and then fit roof spots,and have them removable
After a bit of a quick measure up they seemed to be the dogs dodas
I couldn't get any of the fancy rivnuts so just bolted them on. The head lining just needed a bit of a tug at the corners and spanners away.
Sealed with black silicon and bish bosh, sorted:thumb2

Knocked up some roof bar spots while I was off the road last week. So wll be wiring these up tomorrow with a marine plug/socket, :naughty

Wrong maverick I think - wasn't it the Mazda Maverick by then not the Nissan one.

I fitted Astra estate roof rails to mine in order to get the rack on for te Mac - like Makeitfit I bolted em through - thats how the astra ones fit so had to pop the headlining down in the corners and C pillar - not too bad a job tbh.

They're a bit more sculptured at the front that the LWB ones but I did have to shorten them - not as bad a job as it sounds though.

Hello Bud, does your SWB have a sunroof. Would like to fit longer rails to my LWB, but have a sunroof. If I fit spots to mine at the moment, they would be too far back. Was thinking of "cutting and shutting" 2 sets of LWB bars.

Yep I've got sun roof. Wasn't a problem though. If you're going cut n shut, you'll need to make an insert to join the two bits together. The middle support is only riveted on to the underside so you could drill it off and reposition to suit the join position, if you see what I mean
Fitted my rails as far forward as poss, thats about 90mm from the screen. Any closer and you get into the strengthening thing making fixing a bit tricky!

lwb roof rails

Hi i'm trying to find some any not even nissan, could you post some pics of where and how you attached them, i'm guessing drilling through the roof, washers and sealent and bolts etc?
