I know this might sound strange but has anyone stripped both front seats & knows if the mountings for the back rest to seat base are the same ie the left side of the seat mounting the same on n/s & o/s seats :?:
The reason i'm asking is that my wife could really do with a lumber surport on her seat (passenger seat) for her back probs, so was thinking of getting another drivers seat & swoping the back rest over onto the passenger seat base

Don't know about the seats (but with many manufacturers you can do this) used car dealers do it sometimes to spruce up the drivers side squab (which is the one often worn out).

but Sparco do universal lumbar supports, they use velcro to stick to the seat so only any good with some upholstery and were available in different depths, they also so an inflatable one which had a small pump and relief valve so you can adjust it whilst seated. Demon Tweaks sell them, also GPR (grand prix racewear), you'll see their logo on the Stigs helmet etc.

Thanks HB  have been thinking about what you have mentioned & may end up going that way. Think i'll have to start pulling my seats apart to find out

My missus hates the seat in the T2, unless she has an extra back support, she describes something like a bar pressing her lower back - and to be fair, on the few times I've ridden as the suicide jockey in my own T2 there is a big difference between the drivers & passenger seat in terms of comfort, all due to the lumbar support.
We bought one from Halfrauds, she finds it quite comfy, even to the point where she wants to buy one for the passenger seat of the X-trail for the long runs to France etc!

front seats

hi have same problem what did you end up doing? i would like to fit a drivers lumber to passenger seat but unsure if DOOABLE ta peter 99T se touring 2.7td

I do know you can put a drivers seat on to the passenger subframe, if that helps:D
Just take all that plastic trim off under the seat and there are the bolts that hold the seat to the sub frame:thumbs
Simples:sly
