Pretty much where im up to at the monent with work on the truck. So more to come when time allows.

I was greeted yesterday by this when returning to my car. I think it was actually that hot the screen scracked where there was a small stone chip. Or someone took offence to the Maverick and broke my window.

This fell off the old Terrano so thought having two pigtails is better then one.

Perfect time to strip the tow bar and give it a good lick of protective paint. Will redo the electrics in the future too.

While the bits are drying. I got tine to work on some other bits. No belt on the a/c as Mav96 had tild me it was causing a strange noise while running.

Weight saving in effect all the hoses came off easily enough. Juat left with the rad to remove.

Never going to use it and figured id steal kitchen mans idea of the second alternator.

Main reason for removal just now is to takle the oil leak.

Here is what I found. I think its been building up over a long time. Cant really see much of anything behind that muck. Its all over the timing cover. So much that i used a scraper to remove what i could reach.

I was covered in oil by the time id had enough and still alot of cleaning to do before I can see whats happening.

Luckily the bash plate had been catching alot of lol.

Fuel gauge is behaving welll. Soon as its filled up there are no issues. So this must be the sender unit its self when dropping low. The resistance checked out when the sender was out the tank.

If it drops again when the tank is lower ill swap the unit.

Started to undress the mav with sone free time this weekend.

Now was a good time to rip all the a/c business outto help with weight reduction

With the rads out made it so much easier to see and have a chance to clear the muck out. Rather than smearing it about

Shes a dirty girl under all that body work.

Looks like it had been building up for a while. So out came screwfixes finest degreaser, brushes and a pressure washer.

Lots of scrubbing later and she shined up very nicely.

I even romved the ac pulley to get behind it, water pump off as i wondered if it was weeping and collecting the oil as it ran down. Cleaned behind the pulley as best i could.
