Thanks guys, the truck would definatly not be on the road if it wasnt for all the info thats been posted up. I just see whats been done before and follow through with the steps. :D

Saturday morning I had her in for the mot, now initailly it failed as I forgot to check the license plate bulbs. A quick swap on she flew through.

Only one advisory which was slight play in near side wheel bearing.

Very very pleased.

An as above if it wasnt for this place it could have been one more Terrano on the scrap heap.

Driving along yesterday, went to open the rear window and there was an lovely cruching sound. Pulled the door apart to find this inside the regulator. The wire was now kinked and frayed so wouldnt seat on the pulley.

The mountings on the window slider had failed too. Will pick up some bike brake cable and replace the damage stuff when i get a chance this week.

Recently my breather control valve had been getting oilyon the outside. So removed it to test as per posts I found from Lazy-Ferret. Turns out the nrv has failed so gonna grab a fresh one.

Thanks again to Lazy-Ferret as hr had posted that a breather from a landrover was the same and much cheaper. Part number is ERR1471 if anybody needs.

Going to fit an oil catch can too I think

Rather than start a new thread I thought I would just carry on here. Picked this up from Mav96 at Ricks place two weeks ago. But I have only been driving it about since Sunday.

She is solid. A world of difference from the Terrano that no seems no matter how much I was to repair Id always be chasing some rot about.

Runs well but with a judder/miss fire. Seems to occur when letting off but picks straight back up when you press the pedal.

Fuel gauge all over the place.

Needs new tyres and the tracking is off.

Possible oil leak somewhere. Not confirmed as its not lost anything just on some surfaces in the engine bay.

Needs rear view mirror sticking on.

Welding wise. Only a small part of the inner sill and will do the front cross member at some point.

All hopefully nice easy fixes :D:D. I realise I havnt taken many pics of the car itself only the bits I have been working on. So will get some better pics this weekend.

Figured id start with the fuel gauge and stutter. The tank area is so clean. No rust or paint peeling off the tank. Bolts out nice and easy. One of the doesnt quite take to the tank properly so they are all being replace when I get a chance to pick some up.

Whipped the sender out to check resistances. Found some crap floating about and on the pick up. So a good clean to make sure nothing is blocking the pipes.

The fuel pipes had been previously replaced from the tank to under the drivers seat. But as Im running veg I thought it best to run new pipes front to back. Avoiding any built up stuff already in the original lines an maybe helping the stutter.

So removed everything front too back. Ran rubber from the tank over the top of the engine to new inline filer. Then too the steel line on the back of the bulkhead to ip. New return too.

Heres the new pipes under the drivers footwell. Which is still solid.

The new pipes seem to have cured the stutter when coming off the throttle. It has a slight hesitation every now and then when creeping about feathering the pedal. So my plan is to replace the rubber hose that goes from steel pipe on bulk head to ip, replace bolts on the tank so i can get it nice and tight. Then fault find from there.

Bumper off so I can access the wiring for the sender and have a look at body mounts. You can see a but off rust but its purely surface. You would never guess its 22 years old.

Bumper off its looking mean!

Started disconnecting the wiring for the sender along its route and checking continuity. Then cleaned each connector before re attaching.

Ran a wire from rear to dash to allow me to check the length of the harness.

Checked tracks on the back of the pod. All ok as far as I could determine. Again cleaned the connectors then cleaned the earths which were B10 and B18 on the earth distribution diagrams.

All back together and shes alive. Reads the level but swings alot when going round roundabout. So right down then back.

Next step will be to swap for the working one in the Terrano to see if that fixes it completely. But I can live with it for the time being.

Sheeared a couple of bolts on the bumper. They were stuck fast so using steves idea from the recent thread I welded on some nuts and was able to get the threaded part out.

So far Ive covered about 100 miles on veg and it hasnt missed a beat. Keeping on eye on the filter for anything dragged through. What this little guy was doing I dont know lol.

What I cant over is how well she fires up. The soon as that stater engages its off and running. I just assumed the Terrano was shit starter as I had it running on veg. But this just doesnt care. Maybe the Terrano has a compression issue?

100% this is my new truck just need to figure out what to do with the other one now.
