LSD diff gone!!! :( Please help?

hi there, my LSD rear diff has given up at 173k mile :doh now its gotta be replace! but in two minds buy a diff lock kit or keep orginal LSD any views would be welcome! thanks
 
I would have thought that for general user friendlyness LSD. It'll be kinder to your tyres and be about 80% as good anyway (statistics are 90% proven to be bolx:augie)
Anyone else?:cool:
 
a lot easyer to get a second hand LSD and im sure cheaper too!
 
thanks people, i won't get a secon hand one because i'm not a gental driver :naughty lol think after doin sum reserch tonight i will have the lsd rebuilt! :doh and try and drive easyier lol
 
yep stick with lsd, having had a t2 with one and now a troll with locker the
lsd is much easier and there on tap automatically. ok locker 100% in extreme
conditions but not ideal for quick on-off applications like a slippy road.
 
Probably cheaper to have yours repaired or buy second hand. I had a Detroit locker fitted to a 90 landy and I found this To be absolutely awsome.It still allows the outer wheel to rotate faster than the inside when driving on the road but its a fit and forget mod. No compressor and pipework, no thinking shall I engage it or not etc. You can tell its there under some conditions on the road but you just get used to it. Most things are a compromise, tyres etc but Loved it and would defo have another. Teebird
 
If it s definitely just the LSD that worn you just need a new clutch pack for it and all setting up etc.

Which axle you got on yours? H233b or C200 (cover plate on rear of axle).

100 % the LSD clutch is all ok! .... the LSD is the clutch pack yer its a H233b
