lower power sterring hose

Mine runs down and under the engine along the front panel then back up to the steering box.

I presume this excess metal pipe is just for cooling ?

Well its leaking so can i just cut it out and shorten it ? does it actually need cooling :nenau

Mine leaked behind one of the clips where the pipe coroded i just cut a chunk out and replaced with hose and clips been ok

Odd as the one ones on my petrol version all have a section of rubber about a foot long, would not have attributed rubber hose as a cooler so assumed it was some kind of pressure damper but if a hose with clips holds it I would not think it is on the pressure side very confusing, but then so is the clutch damper pipe, Rick
