Lost Key

My son has rung me to say he has lost the Ignition Key :evil:
He had locked the jeep with the remote.

I have a spare key, it's a normal enough looking remote key with NATS written on one side. AFAIR the remote facility didn't work.

What is the procedure, if I use the spare key to open the door the alarm goes off. If I stick the spare key in the ignition will the alarm go out?

What is the best thing to do ? Jeep is about 20km away in town.

I've been having probs with my key not unlocking the doors with the remote :evil: If anyone know a fix please tell me :smile: I just open the door via the lock & put key into ingnition & the alarm switckes of after a few seconds :smile:

Yeah it worked out like that, except that the few seconds seemed very very long seconds.
I got to the jeep about midnight, it was parked in a residential area, as soon as the alarm eventually stopped, I got out of there fast.

Hi Sweety,don't know if this helps/works with our T2's.
Boy at work was having same prob with his picasso,told him to put the key in turn it to the first notch and press the button on the key,in his case it reset it and worked fine after this..
No harm in trying!! 8)
