Hello everyone, my Lwb is lower on the drives side! Worse at back than front but not by much, about 1 to 2 inches lower in total! Anyone any thoughts, I've sprayed the torsion bar bolts etc in penetrating oil in case I need to mess about with them. I thought it wasn't level but its more noticeable recently!

As always, any help and advice is very much appreciated, Mark :)

Make sure the springs haven't moved or one dropped out, I'm sure this happened to someone on a laning weekend this year :lol

Then on a flat level surface, measure the gap from the top of the tyre to the top of the wheel arch, it does sound like torsion needs adjusting bro :thumb2

Here is a thought...
If you have a trolly jack, put it under the rear diff, untill rear wheels are off the ground.
If front of vehicle is level, and rear axle not parallel with ground then rear suspension.
If left front low, then nearside front suspension issue, rear axle will probably be parallel to the vehicle.

Just my thoughts... seems logical, but never tried it lol...:thumb2

Are they new springs you have fitted? or just gone like that suddenly?

if they are new have you put the drivers side in the passengers side and vice a versa, new springs are handed and the drivers side is generally a bit taller... just in case you didn't know that...

if its the original springs one could have broken and is not clearly visable on first "quick look" inspection... or at life end and need replacing...

Thanks guys :thumb2 yeh measured gaps in wheel arches, o/s rear down 1+3/4", o/s front down 1+1/4 both compared to other side of truck!

Rustic, that is a good idea, my drive is on a slope but I might go to a mates and try it :thumb2 (I know what your thinking, yes I did check it on a level surface :lol)

As far as I know these could be the originals  I did not know that about springs being sided though, cheers :thumb2

I want to change all four shocks and rear springs next year but I don't know whether to get 2" lift or if putting standard spec on will give me an inch or two compared to what it is now, I've seen something on here with standard height specs but i don't know where it's measured from!

You wouldn't have a broken coil on one of your rear springs, by any chance? A quick look underneath with a torch will soon give you an answer

I had a very quick look earlier but I'm going to get it up higher 'n have a proper look in a bit, both ends of spring look intact tho :nenau
Cheers, Mark :thumb2

Go find somewhere totally level and try measuring again. My drive has a slight dip at one side which made the car look terrible. Then I moved it and all was well. Still notice it when it's parked in the same place.
