As promised some pics of my roughly made 'laptop holder' for a t2.

The top was made up from some old chip board but will be replaced with something more suitable.
The brackets over the grabrail are pipe clips.
The leg is part of an old fold up deck chair, already bent then screwed to the chipboard.
And you can see the fixing used for the floor, its just what you'd use if you were supporting a breakfast bar.

Total cost to knock it up was only a couple of quid.

If anyone can offer any suggestions onimprovement i'm all ears

I think it's very good and a fine effort. From a heath and safty point of view it could do with a little sanding. I would not like to see you get a splinter.

Lost on the idea of why anyone would need a laptop in the motor can someone enlighten me?

As ziipy says kinda but with ordnance survey mapping and satelitte photos, so green lanes are marked and easier to find etc.
