as said above,used to live near old kent road 40 years ago.
set my nav to where i needed to get to and proceeded the journey.
the memories were coming back as driving in,what a change with all the cameras for emission and congestion zones and bus lanes.
i chose sunday as congestion is not running and t2 can go in emission areas.
past wapping wall where i and my brother kept a fleet of 100 black cabs on the road,along the embankment where i used to drink on floating pubs,across tower bridge through several tunnels and onto the roundabout where i came off my push bike on way home from work when a something kicked up a long bolt and it landed in my front wheel sending me over the bars and stuffing the wheel,had to carry bike from there.
turned onto old kent road and along to the thomas abecket pub and then got to where i was heading to.good old navmii.
whilst on the way in something that i have seen vids of but never in real life a van crossed in front of me with an engine runaway,parked in area and he jumped out onto his phone with it revving its balls off smoking like hell and the smell of the oil burning.
i had my dash camera on so must be on there somewhere.
then of course the bad driving of some like a car tried to nudge me out of the way so he could get in front,i stood my line so he had to get behind me then it was fingers to me when he got along side me.
another car was behind me in line of traffic and he decided to mount the pavement drive on it to get 4 cars in front,why.i got behind him at the next roundabout so what did he gain.
cars just pull out cut you up slam the brakes on toodle along etc,yes the memories of why i moved out.spot the white man is a good game to play.
the 2 drivers were young.
