Well arrived in my workshop today a 93 London Taxi albeit from foreign lands and left hand drive seems it has been inactive for a long time and has been converted from the original 2.7 to the 2.4 petrol, my remit is to check it over to verify the conversion is good and the engine is a good one, I do not want to bore you guys so if this is not what you want to see then I will not post on this again, Rick

I will follow your project Rick! Keep posting.

What are the plans with it after you confirmed the status of the conversion/engine? Is it yours or are you looking after it on behalf of somebody else?

A little more into the project now and after removing the sump found a couple of plastic bits which I know to be from the timing chain slippers, so pulled the rocker/cam cover to look see and timing stuff is all good no grooves at all so looks like it has been done and the bits are from the old slippers, pulled a BE and all looks good, but it has an electric fan and it just does not pull enough air, so looking at grafting in a Y60 one instead, does that make it more interesting??????? Rick
