Very little done today as had two morning jobs for which I stole the Mrs motor, then once back home got a call and they sent a motor to pick me up, done job bu not back till 4 pm so all I got done was make up a bracket for the dial gauge and record the crown wheel pinion gap, 8 thou, so all good, Rick

Not having much to do this Friday night, thought I would post a pic of the lokka and explain how it works, you can see the dogs on the drive shaft flange are not square but a precisely angled profile, this enables the device to ratchet against the springs to allow one wheel to turn faster than the other on a turn, now notice the shaft hole is also not a circle, this means that when driven the drive pinion shaft pushes the two halve's apart meaning the dogs can no longer ratchet so giving both wheels drive, on the overrun the same applies, hope his explains it for you all, it is a brilliant piece of engineering but must have taken a long time of trial and error before they got those precise angles right, Rick

OK so there are 17 pics to this so please be patient, centre punch marks to everything to ensure correct reassembly

Install new drive gears, spacers and shaft, check clearance both sides of shaft, need 6 to 20 thou

Grease up cam gears and pins so they stay in place

install gears, flat sides enable insert into carrier, and slide pins across ready for spring insertion

insert springs and measure gap, needs to be 145 to 165 thou, my pile of feelers = 147 so again all good, due to possible miss shape feelers it may be a thou bigger but well within tolerance
