Got a stuck locking wheel nut that is refusing to budge with the special socket its one with four round lugs on it
Is my only option to chisel it off?
Has anybody any tips on removing before i take a chisel too it
Cheers

I had the same problem, tried everything I could think of (mole grips, smaller imperial socket hammered on) I ended up chiselling it off - I won't use locking wheel nuts now!

Hit the end of the nut with decent punch to shock it then chisel.put your glasses on those nuts are hard and bits do fly off

Cheers chaps already took the chisel too it these ones seem soft as im knocking bits off it
I keep drilling it a bit and chiseling it its tight cos its not budgeing even with my 7lb lump hammer
Looks like a long night

The AA have a method do not know what it is, but stopped to help an elderly woman a while ago on a cold day with a flat and she had lost the adapter, so I did not offer to help change the wheel but gave her refuge in my warm motor, don't know why she did not run her own engine to keep warm, anyway AA man arrives she said no adaptor, he said no worries and just got on and changed the wheel just like that, Rick

Try drilling small holes on opposite sides of thread but without touching it & as deep as possible, then use a chisel to open up this weakened area. Needs a bit of expertise but it does work.

Cheers chaps the nut is off and dead
Ended up drilling holes and whacking it around removed others just to be on safe side will replace with standard nuts

If anyone gets stuck that lives close to me, I have the same kit as the AA/RAC plus another different kit as a backup.
Only adapters I do not have are for Range Rover/Jaguar and the new Vauxhall design made by McGard.

Just hammer on a multi point socket, never failed myself

These ones had four holes to take the mating pins on the socket but was just slipping
Couldnt knock a socket on to be honest never realy tightened up that much as always thought they were a bit dodgy this one kicked me in the nuts
