Is everyones terrano the same? One click of fob unlocks drivers door, two clicks unlocks all doors and boot?

Is there a way to swap it? So one click unlocks all? :nenau

up to 98/99 one press opens all, yours has to be different, if you take more than a minute or so with the battery out of your plip then it may need re programming, Rick

It's the rubber and buttons that are shagged. I have to press just right at the right angle :naughty

Mine also has the two press functions.

Aw sweet a little mouse :)
Are both those keys the same by the way ? :augie eggs n basket n all that

One key is ok at both (just) the other that is pictured only locks, it also locks best :lol

I'd get another cut before one of them snaps, they do that at terribly inconvenient moments :doh

Yeah good advice sort out a spare key that works dude :thumb2

Back to it yep mine works the same as yours on the newer truck. VW do the same but the CCM can be programmed to unlock all so may be Nissan CCM equivalent will do the same.

if it is not the electronics, you can get the plastic part, and the button bit off of ebay for about £5, I had to get one when I first got my car... just swap the bottom bit with the key in, and the electronics inside, and it been fine ever since.

I replaced the outer casing, and interior buttons.......but you have to able to micro solder in order to replace the worn out switches. The little nibs on the inside of the rubber press button sections need to be trimmed back a bit as they are too long.
I did not lose any coding as I was doing this task, and it must have taken a while......

Ok, so I can do buttons and casing without loosing programming :thumb2

One of the guys at my work will be able to solder no doubt.

One chap is very good with electrics!

Two sorts of programming there Alex. The unlock plop part is a diddle to do yourself via the download instructions. The transponder chip which is the immobiliser is a different ball game and requires the computer plugging in to the car. It's normally the plop function that is lost when battery is old or disconnected.

Riiiight, I'm a little confused.

Basically the link i put is the kit i am going to get, it includes two new buttons and the outer shell. Are you suggesting the battery being swapped could cause the fob to no longer work?

just to clarify, the plip (press button thingy)may lose its code if battery out for very long, can be re programmed as per down load, chip key will not be affected, so stop worrying, Rick
