I went for a bit of a run this morning and noticed that the car didn't behave as normal when I got back to it.
I haven't used the fob for ages and lock/unlock using the key. When I unlock the hazards flash until I put the key in the ignition and turn to P2. Today at P2 it took ages for the hazards to silence themselves.
Got home without problems and locked the car.
I have just gone to open it and the hazards have come on, the locks have actuated but the door(s) won't open.
Thoughts.
Is this something I can fix with a hammer or do I need an electrical ability?

And all good again.
But clearly there's a problem in its formative stages. I had a problem with the radio not coming on a while ago, which may or may not be connected. :nenau

Get your key fobs repairerd and see if it goes back to normal, if the NATS goes down it could get expensive mate

I'd be checking earths and battery connections. Also ignition:thumb2

Agree with Jim there can be problems repeatedly locking and unlocking using just the key, often the alarm goes off, sounds like your sounder has been disabled, hence the flashers going till you insert key in ignition, use the remote it will solve your issues, Rick

Thanks for the info and help.
Battery changed in the key fob, although I'm not 100% sure the other one was goosed.
Fob no worky.
Tried to Keyfob re-code as per the workshop manual, we get to point 3, do points 4, 5 and 6, but point 7 doesn't happen and fob doesn't work!

I've given up with my key fobs.
Bought new outer casings as the rubber parts had split, fitted new batteries and managed to re programme them but they still won't lock or unlock the doors.:nenau

Check the battery in the fob is the correct way around, not always the same way as you found it because a previous owner may have fitted incorrectly.

It is also quite possible that one of the buttons does not work, try finding a replacement on Ebay, I do not have any spares left I am afraid, Rick

Will have a look at the frequency of mine.
Was going to see if I could find one for sale to give it a try with.
