i thought id do a thread to try and encourage other members to maybe organise mini meets in your areas.

i know team wales , team scotland and the yorkshire lads have great success.

so why not organise a mini meet in your areas . its fun and you meet the people your chatting to here . and best of all you get to view other peoples trucks so if you have a problem with yours , you often find looking at another truck helps fix yours

its not all about off roading if thats not your thing. you can meet up for custom ideas modifications .... anything really

we are trying to do one meet every month for off roading and just general banter, its nice to get out and about exploring and having a laugh

so come on join in the fun. thats what the club is for

the boys in wiltshire done even want to get PM's. :nenau:nenau

may try later in the year

Dont think we have many members here in the West Mids to have a meet up.

hi i would like to meet up go laning or something never been before, would love to im from scarborough anyone near?

Theres a couple of members out your way Willsp and a few more over my way near the A1. Dadba goes out regularly in Yorkshire and I do too - keep your eye open for post in the green laning/fun days etc forum.

change it to just a sunday run then . then some members could come along to sailsbury plain with ya

is there an easier way of searching members locations, without scouring through the members list.

some of them are inactive others dont want to meet. i know when i was inviting people to take part in team wales, i must have tried to contact a good 20 members . only pete and paul made contact . so i know its not easy. i still try to contact other members or repeat the invites even now...

i guess some people just dont want to do green laning.

so here is my idea....

id like to do a sunday run and try to atract other members from birmingham swindon devon and wales locations
if someone who has good knowlege of lanes . could they help to find a nice place to meet somewhere in the middle or there abouts
the idea would be to get people to meet for some light green lining and hopefully meet other members and promote the advantages of meeting new people .
this could be good fun for everyone.

i wonder if anyone from up north (maybe dadba) could organise something in the north to bring members together and meet up

you never know you might meet some people at one of these events not too far from you and you might then be able to start mini meets in your area on a regular basis

just my thoughts

Likewise as soon as my truck is back on the road I would be willing to arrange a days laning in Shropshire if anyone is interested for a Saturday in May then let me know.

just done a new thread on our march meet .
team wales meet 29th march

everyone is welcome to come along if they have time and fancy meeting up.
looks like a nice track. not too far from the midlands either
im told there is a pub too........ and no digging:thumbs

also has anyone else give much thought into organizing a mini meet in your area ???

i reckon some members are not upto getting a bit muddy and have to clean the truck when they get home, i think it's all part of the fun myself, but there you go, i would love to go out but there's nothing around here that i know of, :doh :sly

With all the cheap ferry crossings now it might even be possible for some of us Irish to travel to Wales. The wife is going to be in Maes-Y- Pandy at the end of April, so who knows? Might travel across and surprise her.

it is hard to get people interested and get a good turn out for mini meets/greenlaning.
the last two ive organised have only attracted 2 trucks on 2 occasions.
still went ahead with the days but a good turn out would be nice:thumb2
gonna sort another derbyshire meet for the middle of may and see how it goes.
i think people are being careful with the cash at the mo,i know i am.
