Local greenlane information needed

Howdy all, long story short, me and the missus went down this road we have driven past 1000s of times and decided to have a look. To my amazement it has a byway sign!!! :naughty

There is no obvious sign of lane, the end is a public footpath (where I got stuck in deep muddy ruts trying to exit... :doh
