Has anyone done anything with a load sensing valve? are they repairable or even replaced one before.

Thanks

My advice would be to bleed it, if it doesn't work correctly after that I'd grab a spare from cnc or terranobreakershropshire, 4 bolts and it's off IIRC, the bleed nipples on them can be awful though mate

i was told to bypass mine on the troll ... but you have to have it for mot or you get a fail.. i paid 90 second hand or ccould have a new one for about 360 at nissan if i remember correctly

Newer terranos dont have one

You can get manual adjusters for the back brake bias, Pete did one on his trol and adjusted it to pass mot requirements.

I have a TDi scrapper, do not know the condition of the valve, will try and look tomorrow am, Rick

What the hell is a load valve? :lol :nenau

When a heavy load is on the suspension it increases the rear braking.
Mine was seized on my old tdi.wd40 and some gentle hammering got it free again.
Not got one fitted on this one I have now a 2000 x reg.:nenau

have a look mate.
its on the drivers side bolted to the body just in front of the rear axle.
its a bracket with a spring on it and your brake pipe will run into it.

I think ive got a spare one, got it from Rick ages ago!

Not got one on this T2 (05) but didn't have one on my 1999 SWB either wonder if they were only fitted on the LWB:nenau but it mustn't of been much use as Nissan stopped fitting them on the later models. TBH i'd be temped to bin the thing because if it's not there it can't fail

You did not use it then Clive? If you can find it, it would be good as I have so little time and my scrapper is very rusty so cannot think it will not be seized, Rick

Could make the rear end a bit twitchy with no load if you remove it
Would not be needed with ABS
