I only use my Mav in 2 + load area or 5 + load area configurations, and have removed the 3rd row seat, (have you felt how heavy they are ?). I've been thinking of ways to fabricate a full height load guard for when we go to France this year with 3 nippers, 2 bikes, the kitchen sink etc. A mate of mine came up with this... Not sure what it came out of, but it fits like a glove. Just a few brackets to make to bolt it in, and I'm there !

could do with one of them behind the front seats to keep the kids behind:lol:lol:lol
a sound proof one would be better:thumbs
i use and adjustable dog guard when ive got the the third row of seats out.

glove like id say... just make sure you fix it good on impact they take a massive strain

Thats some bit of kit Lee:eek:as for fixing it in place the Nissan ones are fixed into the bottom of the back seat via coach bolts which I think would work fine for the cage you've got, for securing the top part I would used some thick plate & drill a hole large enough for the rear upper seat belt bolts to pass through it & then attach it to the top of the cage:rolleyes:Just an idea:augie

Was thinking of cutting off the existing top brackets, and making some new ones up to fix to the top seat belt mounting points, as you said, but also making up some brackets to fix to the existing bottom brackets and the ex-third row seat mounting points in the floor. You can see them in the first picture.

talented lad who made that, looks really good. Could sell some of them, bet there would be takers too

It would be interesting to know what it was originally intended for - it just looks so at home in a Mav:thumb2
