Low revs, low speed, low fuel pump pressure, so it could be dirty injectors.:nenau
At higher revs/speed = higher pump pressure, so not as big a problem.
The amount of black smoke could be the same, but at higher speed it could be being dispersed more.
Have you tried injector cleaner?, also rev it keep in lower gears for longer.
tried injector cleaner , no difference , ive had a look at this egr blanking kit i got , and ive changed my mind about fitting it .... it looks far too complicated for me . there is 3 plates , 2 small and 1 big , so its off to the garage to have that fitted if nothing else works .... seems i also have a " quick warm system " that may be the culprit too ..... tried kickdown and leaving it in 2nd etc , but doesnt make any difference , took it for a run along the m62 into bolton area and back .... still doing it :nenau
