why would it be a higher running cost than any other lwb terrano? Why not green lane it? I'll probably in all honesty sell my Mav, keep my isuzu for offroading and let the mrs have the R3mr

Its a monocoque and sits much lower on the road than the terrano. And you try getting spares....:)

loads breaking on ebay! im sure its chasis built, but never sprnt much time underneath it!

well i liked it,but hey i wanted a surf till i found out they boiled up at sight of an ignition key lol

surely most terrano parts will interchange? Worth buying then or not? i may just buy it and move it on. i do know that i will need to source a lower wishbone

just put nissan r3m into ebay see what the prices are at,how much a wishbone + time efort to sort!

As far as I am aware, its only the terrano engine it uses. The rest is model-specific. Very different animal.

And despite Jace's amnesia, I'm certain it a monocoque, which explains why it sits so low (and is more cramped than the Terrano), so is useless for offroading.

Some people seem to like them though, so if you can get it mega cheap, do it up and do the eBay spiel you might make a shilling.

was a chap on here with red one used it off road he was a "security consultent" about 18st and 6ft so about same size as me and most people who use my motors an we never felt cramped, tel or terry sommat like that?

well i'm 6'3" and I had gave one the once-over a while back (Extreme had one for a brief period)...nice comfy motorway drive but couldn't hold a candle to the Terrano....and its built for Smurfs:lol I could lean on the frickin roof with my elbow!

very similar to a hilux surf then? Well im going to have a look in the morning and will hopefully bring it home all being well. Im only 5'10 but the mrs is 6'. Got to be some profit in it if not for me

i bet you look up to your mrs then!!

LOL

must be easy for her to keep you under the thumb!

Just had a quick squint on fleabay. There's only been 4 listed in the last 30days. One sold here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-TERRAN...5558753?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c18d2e561
One was listed twice at1400 and didnt sell and one other went for 1030 squid.
They were all mot and running etc
So if you've got to do wisbone and other stuff for mot it needs to be a lot less than 600 to buy if you want to make some dosh worth the efffort:rolleyes:

its got 7 months mot and 1 months tax already. Wishbone has been, shall i say, botched/straightened. Drives perfect so dont need to spend too much. Appreciate the big response though

the early rm3 terrano/ pathfinder was proper chassis with all the same running gear as the t2. as jace says . the one i had was the later one r50 and paul is correct not a proper chassis . lifting it is almost impossible unless you have big bucks.

so both right on that.

i found although low to the roof, it had similar if not slightly better ground clearance than the t2 . and id say 33" tyres is possible with a little work...

the r50 terrano / pathfinder is a lovely drive . its like driving a volvo and not cramped at all the roof is lower thats all ... mpg i found better than t2 and much more power, super reliable

if its tidy, for 600 buy buy buy . just drive it for the next 5 years free motoring almost.... milners4x4 do most parts for it

id have mine back in a flash

id have another one nearly did about 6mths ago nice black one on ebay went about £600 it was a manual wouldve made a nice day to day driver so pick up vans could be exclusively work trucks!
