Fuses firstly mate, also check battery connections are tight.

After that I'd be looking at the stalk and connections from it to behind the squib backwards :thumb2

Hope you fix it, I'm online all day so will help as and when I'm at computer with anything mate :thumb2

If you have a trailer socket on the back it could be whats at fault and blowing fuses.

Bad connections in trailer socket caused issues with the lights on my truck... One of the wired was chafed through.

My daughter's L200 had this problem. Rear RH ind. came on with side lights, couldn't find any fault but remade skt. connections anyway & all was OK ....for a week.
Then noticed LH side light fuse had blown so replaced it....RH fuse then blew aaaarrrrrggggghhhh!.
Still no obvious fault(s) but changed the skt (car only 2yo!) for a new one & all is well (everything now crossed that it stays OK LOL). Don’t think the original skt had ever been used, but it was original fit by Mitsubishi agent.

I'm in the habit of replacing towing skts about every 5 years anyway, they’re cheap enough & it's much less trouble than chasing faults.

Tips worth following: don't fit an extra cover as this will be even more likely to hold water than a std. well-fitting skt. spring-loaded cover. Make sure that water can exit at the bottom (drill a 3mm hole if necessary). If you traverse floods then set the skt above the expected level! Obvious? It is now LOL.

Lights again

Thanks banshee and everyone i had a chance to look at the tow bar and when it was fitted [before i bought it] clip connectors had been used under the car. Why they didnt take it up the d piller [if you,ll excuse the phrase] beats me. They had loads cable. If we have adry one again manana ill start takeing apart the yards of vintage gaffer tape and see what dark secrets it holds. I think the old girl is decaying faster than i am .[the car that is]. Take your back light clusters ( in the bumper ) out and check the wires have not been rubbing their insulation off on the chassis. It happened on mine a few years ago and from what I remember it took out the fuse feeding the rear lights, dash lights and front / side lights.

Didn't think about the effects water crossings would have to be honest, I remove my towbar anyway when off roading, only difference next time is I'm going to bag the socket and make it water tight

:clap took all the good advice given and got sides fog front and rear back. ithink hazards are to do with timer unit. at least i can go out at night.tow bar was probably the fault as you pointed out .i redone the connections and siliconed each one left to cure then taped them up .should do the job next the hazards.yesterday i had to cure a leak on 4 injector just a rubber plug on it would have so much easier on the td no intercooler on that sometimes i do miss the mav but my brother gave me a hand .thanks again for all your help over the years i have had so much gain in confidence from this club and its members .thanks RAY:thumbs

Hi Ray, sounds great and defo good news fixing it up. To be honest I'd love a TD as there is far less to go wrong too but that said in fairness the tdi's haven't given me too much hassle. It was the intercooler that put me off doing the leak off pipes on my old 05 plate truck.
As for the support from the club, it's second to none and helped me loads doing my project truck with my son. Hope the MG owners club is as helpful and supportive.

Good luck with your hazards, let us know how you get on.
