Not sure which section this ultimately belongs in, could be bodywork, electrical or other so here goes!

I'm after mounting a pair of spotlights (pair of Lucas 20/20's) on the front of my Terrano.

I dont want to fit an A bar/bull bar. Has anyone bumper mounted them or got hold of any brackets? (bit like the old 2 up 2 down on older rally cars)

Cheers

I just drilled through the top of my front bumper & fitted large repair washers to spred the weight of the 2 7" spots I fitted:D they've been on for well over a year now with no probs on or off road:thumbs

not sure but this might help some one

ta.

I'm just concerned about the stability of them. Not a problem at the speeds I cant manage unlike the cibie oscars 2 up 2 down on the old 80's astra, I just dont want them vibrating too much especially if theyre only into the bumper.

I mounted a pair of truck style 9"ers this way there was some vibration but didnt get
around to steadying them before they came off so I could get grill off to access front
of radiator. JonathanM also mounted this way slightly smaller, think 7" without issue.

im sure theres some stablizers for lights, i know i had some a few years back.

I had these 6inch drilled through and bolted to the front bumper on my old T2, just used a chunky set of washers... no issues with vibrations

Just the holes you leave behind if you remove them....

talking of lights, i was thinking of a few like this, they are only LED's but i think look good,

hes got them wired into side lights and switched so can have them on or off as well.

what do you think, was going to do side steps first, not sure about the front.

you can get 12v Led's and they need to be
wired in parallel whichever ones you use.

he have them all on a seperate swich connected to
the side lights. Except the V which is on its own
switch so i can leave it on when its parked...

This is a pic of them all on, you can see the glow
the ones underneath leave on the ground

Yo Zippy, is you a Wiltshire gangsta then blood? :lol:lol:lol:lol

Very easy to do Zippy have a look on ebay as they can be very cheap at times:augieeasiest way is to use LED light tubes but you can get rope lights (12V) & small lights with 5 LED's inside:augieIIRC tho if the light sorce (tube) can be seen then they are ilegal on the road but if your parked up your ok but they do keep changing it:augie
