I'm planing on doing a suspension lift in a few months:thumb2 now at this moment in time I don't plan on fitting any bigger than 31's but as we all know things can change:lol:lol now would 32's or 33's fit with a 2" body lift & a 1.5" suspension lift:nenau I know most go for a 2" suspension lift but TBH having fixed hubs i'm a little worried about the CV's long term as it's my daily motor & think 1.5" might be a bit kinder long term on the CV's

Have you thought about just a 2" body lift leaves the suspension well alone the with it been your daily

I have but it'll be a lot harder for me to do on my own plus can't weld & have a nasty habit of snapping bolts:doh

Loads of gt85 spray or wd. I think it's only the bumper brackets that need welding. Couldn't you get someone to do it for a few beer tokens.

Only one lad close by I know who can weld but his welding is cr*p:doh so more inclined to do a suspension lift first but if I chose to go bigger than 31's then yes a body lift would be done but not sure if 32's or 33's would go on with just a 1.5" suspension lift plus body lift:nenau

I'm in the exact same situation, Got some LWB springs that I'm fitting soon and will be cranking up the torsions to match the front with the back, I want to do a body lift after that but want to see detailed pictures of the welding and modification needed for the bumper brackets.

I think that's only fair given the amount of pictures I provide and guides I write :sly

I'd go max 1" susp lift, the problems it causes are not worth it going higher unless you need the extra room for big tyres. 33/35s.

Body lift is the way to go , Also keeps the weight of the vehicle lower compared to a susp lift.

Local blacksmith place should be able to mod the bumpers.

I went 2" on the Maverick and had no issues but didn't get round to doing the body lift.

I have a guy that can weld, my concern is, how easy are they to remove after they have been welded

Well it looks as if you & me are both thinking of the same then Banshee as LWB springs will give you 1.5" of lift:thumbs The only problem using a local blacksmith is I don't know of any around here maybe I live to close to the city:augie

Sweety you must have a local fab or 4x4 specialist place nearby :(

I have a 3 inch lift in the mistral, i can fit my head between the tire and the gaurd..(yes my head is now a unit of measurment.lol):D

basically I went for polyurethene spacers ontop of the rear coils and calmini upper A arms with re indexed torsion bars(this allowed for lift but left the spring rate closer to factory as apposed to just cranking them up tighter.)
then fitted a set of RAW aftermarket shock absobers.

indeed mate :) I always thought you had a LWB for some reason, the LWB springs and torsion re index did wonders on the Maverick, gave it such a stance on the 31's

I was planning on doing a body lift on it until it was smashed into by that stupid Polish idiot!!!!

Yes i've got a LWB but will use some 1.5" spring spacers but have known a few who have fitted LWB springs onto the SWB & it always looks good:thumbs sadly won't be changing my tyres any time soon as only fitted new ones last year & only worn 1mm off the tread:eek: think it's time to start driving this truck a bit harder & get the wheels spinning more often to wear them down:lol
