g'day folks,

I have a 3.0 and it has an odd issue. I only had this truck a few days ago so didn't notice the issue before purchase.

The controls on both the LHS windows on the doors don't work. But if I use the main controls on my driver door I can open and close the windows fine. I'm not sure what the issue is, I did think it was faulty controls on the doors, but both on the same side of the car? Driver side passenger window works fine on its own control.

Thank you for any assistance you can give :nenau

When I first got my 3 Litre the passenger side front switch was faulty so it only worked from the main controls. Like you say it does seem odd both switches not working. Can’t remember how the rear switch is located but the front switch is easy to remove and test, the whole of the trim panel does unclip to allow access to the switch so door card doesn’t need removing. Once you have access to the switch you should be able to test the wires.

Thank you. It way be coincidence that both arnt working. I'll get a new one and see what happens.

Try removing the front switch and testing with a multimeter, you should have a live feed when ignition switched on.
Here’s a photo of the underside of the front switch panel so that you can see where to gently pry it up to remove, switch is a separate item to the triangle panel. The forum won’t allow me to attach the photo but below is a link to where I have posted it before.

Take a look at post number 3 which shows the switch and panel.

Thanks for that. Was yours just in need of cleaner or did you replace? I'll keep an eye out (literally) for springs :lol

I got a replacement and intended to try to fix old one but never got around to it.

I'll take it out and see if it can be fixed. Hopefully it's just a coincidence both on the same side arnt working from the door.

FIXED

It was just both door switches on the left that were bad. Contacts inside the switches had carbened over. Took apart, given a rub with a fiberglass pen and working again like new.

Thank you. I'm happy they all work properly. I'll sort the headlamp washer jets this week. And then figure what to do with the front of the bonnet. It has a few chips so I would have used a bonnet/bug guard, but there is no such thing for the 3.0. So maybe some sort of cut to shape vinyl for it that says terrano.
