...when it dries up here I might have a crawl under the patrol and have a look to see what would be involved :naughty

Do you want 38ºC? Want to trade? :lol

Forecast for the next 10 days...

Certainly looking forward to pictures of this E-Locker, I hate the sound of air lockers for the exact reason that you've stated above, I suppose electric can be just as finnicky though :nenau

This is mine:

I will try to take it out of the box and take more photos.

What brand is the Locker mate if you don't mind me asking? Was trying to do some research but couldn't see a brand name on the box :doh

It's a "white line" brand.
I bought it directly from China.

Your Google skills must be far superior to mine, I can't find those guys online :doh :nenau

Having looked around at other electric lockers it seems that the Terrano Rear can also be fitted in the Y61 Patrol Front :naughty :naughty

Send us a china link chap :bow :bow

Only got an email:
[email protected]

Already bought 3 lockers from them and they all arrived :thumbs.

These are the specs on mine ET136:
NISSAN H233b, 31 splines, 9 screws.

And that is correct, the front of the Y61 are the same as the rear on the Terrano 2 with the diff H233b.

If I name drop you, do you reckon I'll get some discount :naughty :naughty

After some research, the 3.0 clutch has a size of 260mm and the 2.7 is 250mm.
Both are 24 teeth.

Told you Banshee ;)

Y61 Trol electric ARB disconnect is 3 wires I think. Presumably one wire connects to the dash light to illuminate it when it's disconnected. Y60 Trols had a cable operated one. My 4.2 must have had it at some point in its life as the handle is still there under the dash (I think you pulled and twisted the handle to lock it "off").

I removed the one off my Y61, all it is is a fancy ARB link that looks similar to a miniature hydraulic ram with an electrically actuator which operates a jaw/pin for locking it (Y60 cable would've been connected straight to the locking pin). The end of the cylinder section is attached to the chassis ARB link mount and the end of the piston section is attached to the ARB. When unlocked the jaw/pin moves out of the piston section and that section is able to move in and out of the cylinder section so in effect removing the ARB.

Neat idea and works well, when it works, but the electric one is known to fail over time and become temperamental at connecting back up again. That's what happened to mine and then I fitted my 2" lift and removed the link and earthed the sensor wire :nenau

This is why I love you brother :thumbs

Well, after some digging i ended up buying the stock one from Borg&Beck.

Let's see how will she hold! :clap

@Banshee, some more photos from the eletric locker.

I gave it some juice, 12V, and it locks... :lol

That looks awesome buddy :bow :bow

Glad you've tested it on the bench, not too sure on the quality of the solder used on that earth cable though

If that's the quality of soldering i would be questioning what the rest of it is like.
I for one wouldn't put that anywhere my diff:eek:
