leisure battery

is it possible to use a leisure battery on my ford maverick 2.7 gls lwb 1996 model

only if your realy realy stuck!

as they dont like to do the big load for starting.. but will get you out a jam if needed a few times.

Hiya Brian, I don't think I would advise using a leisure Battery because they only discharge power at a slow rate and you need a sudden large burst of power to turn your engine over to start it. I think using one would soon ''knacker'' (Technical Term), your battery.

i would fit the biggest amp battery you can afford, at least 490 amp, just make sure it fits the tray. :thumbs

Not sure of the amps, but a heavy duty battery is whats needed, and as Tezzer says, '' make sure it fits your tray''.
