I’m thinking about a LED Light Bar now the darker nights are here. Only problem is that I have concerns about quality of them. I can pick one up on eBay for 40 50 quid easily and allegedly have 2 year warranty from a uk seller based in an unpronounceable city in China.
By the same token I can pick one up at a specialist 4x4 accessory shop in uk for 500 quid:eek:

Having been bitten by a pair of rear work lights from Milners that has one of them with a bank of 3 LEDs not working. Then LED bulbs that flash because several chips have gone faulty. I’m not too sure of quality and life span.

So what have others used?

Iv'e had a 40" china ebay special on for over 3 years now with no issues.
Wasn't the cheapest option but seems to be decent quality for the price.

Hi JIm,
I had four sets of LED front DTRL's until I found some that worked for more than a few months. In the the first three sets they failed due to water ingress. The second set were replaced under warranty and seemed really well made but failed so went for a refund. Usually a LED would start to flicker then fail despite me sealing everywhere with extra silicone!

The set that finally worked are now 15 months old were £18.79 for 2 x 18 W they are a solid alloy casing, I put extra clear silicone everywhere I thought water might get in.

The seller was based in Singapore " ayabright shop" but can't find them on e-bay when I looked.

Stay away from the Chinese ones from eBay. I've had 3 lots and all have become faulty in less than a year. I'm afraid if you want quality you will have to pay for it. Google search rather than eBay will give you a better product
