Hi! Im still have problem with water leaking in though the tail gate area on my commercial T2. I've removed the black trim that's screwed down & tiger sealed the rubber that goes all the way round. But now it seems even worse. It's al most if the water is building up and coming over each side of the plastic trim that's screwed down. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried all sorts, putting wire in the rubber seal to bulk it up. I used loads of Vaseline on the top seal which worked but had to keep topping it up.

Only fixed until I adjusted the door catch to keep the seal tighter

Just sorted mine, My Commercial was leaking also. I removed black trim and put bead of roof cutter sealant underneath and refitted, also pulled off the black side edging trim which pushes onto the welded seems which run down the sides and meet the trim at the bottom, placed bead sealant on edge and pushed back on. Made sure it pushed sealant out from sides of trim and smoothed off.Only done about three inches up from trim at bottom left in dry for 24 hours seem sorted now. Did just do bottom trim but found it still leaked and found it was getting through edge trim.
Hope this helps.

Hi. I've sealed all the way round the trim on the truck & the trim that screws down. It looks like the water is building up either end of the plastic trim & actually going over the top. ( it's hard to explain)

Daft question but you dont often park facing downwards by any chance, my drive is slightly down hill and ive noticed the water pools up against the back door seal, bit of a bad design really.

Painted my door seal with clear waxol, that was a couple of years ago and its still dry. Bri

Hi
I was having this problem,
the catch mounted on the door post is adjustable, loosen the two screws give the catch a tap and it can be pushed back mine needed about 2mm, the door shuts tighter against the seals,
tested it in the car wash and now i have a dry boot carpet
Pete
