Leaking fuel

Hi everyone, just seen a problem with the old girl,a fuel leak from the tank area, looks like its dripping down from the filler cap side but hard to tell, as it is well spread on the suspension and underside of fuel tank,anybody had any dealings with this type of problem before?

it's proberly the rusty pipe sydrome, i think there a link somewhere, im sure you cut the rusty pipe and fit rubber fuel hose in it's place.:thumbs

theres also a paint on patch repairer I'm sure I've seen it on here before some place for pin holes in the tank..

had to replace my fuel line recently as it had rusted through.
it tends to go where the steel pipes come over the chassis under the rear wheel arch area.
replaced mine with rubber fuel hose as its much easier to work with.
cost about a tenner to replace the whole line front to back.

Found the leak

Yep as everyone described, fuel pipe leaking from up above rear suspension area on the off side. Its still under dealers warranty so will phone them tomorrow and find out how good their warranty is.

There must be something in the water, I've just had to have one of mine replaced last week.

Mags Never had any probs with warranty work on new truck ,just make sure you get name of who you book it with at ind cars.JD
