According to one link I found, at 60mph its 10.5 psi.....but not sure if its a linear progression that would allow you to pro rata it.

Is this a quiz or do you need to know for a reason?

It's not linear but still more than enough for take off :naughty:cool:

Lbs

No not a quiz i have a wall that is 12 feet long by 3feet high,
the council have dug up the foot path next to the wall they have dug down and exposed my footing, they have back filled with 100mm hard core compacted then bottom coat tarmac of 50mm then top coat of tarmac,
so by lowering the foot path.70mm of my footing is exposed still, after all the work was completed. so i belive that is causing my wall to lean towards the footpath.
so the council have been out when i was not in, they say its not there fault.
they say that the wall does not appear to be in danger of collapse unless an external force is applied to it?
the bluddy thing is leaning on the lampost (no songs please)
so is the strong wind a external force. Laurie ash.

ask them about the Health and Safety 'Push Test' and get them to confirm that the wall meets requirements thereof. They use it to knock down 'dangerous' gravestones so I'm sure a wall wouldn't be any different.

Its funny what they can do when the alternative is committing themselves. :augie

did your wall start leaning when they dug the footpath up or was it leaning already? when you say they uncovered your footings, how thick is the concrete and did they dig below the bottom of it? Rick

No it was not leaning before, the have dug down the front of the footing, all the way along the wall.the footing will be 150mm deep x 300mm wide on a single skin wall.
they dug down 100mm for hardcore plus 50mm bottom coat tarmac 50 mm top coat tarmac so when they thew all that back in there is still 70mm of footing is still showing.above top coat of tarmac.
so 100
50
50
70
=270mm at the side of the footing

bet you did not take any pics, the problem is that it looks like they dug below the bottom of the footing, this would not be a problem if the backfill was dense, but hardcore is not and the soil under your footing will tend to migrate into the voids of the hardcore so undermining your footing, you need to address this with the council asap, it does not matter that it cannot be seen, a simple trial hole can be dug to see what the situation is, they cannot deny it once this has revealed the description above, looks to me like they are liable, Rick
