Latest project now done

Sorry could not find the "what do you do" thread so posted here instead if mods want to move it fine by me, this is what I have been doing for the last 6 weeks , gutted a 3 bed terraced Victorian house, tacked all ceilings and set, hacked off lots of bad plaster/render to walls and re rendered/set, replaced complete floor in bed three and patched up in all other rooms, re wired through out, re plumbed through out, moved bathroom and created new utility room in old shower room/wc which was off kitchen, not allowed as need two doors tween WC and Kitchen, new CH with rad in all rooms, new combi boiler, decorated all round, including much new 6inch skirting, new doors to all rooms, sorry but not many pics as too busy but posting what I have, this is new knock through to lounge to create new bath room and dinning area adjacent to lounge

In the Kitchen once exposed we find chimney work has been removed with no support for the work above, so a couple of 6 x 2s on hangers inserted to hold it up,

As the existing entrance to the now to be utility room was inconvenient we made a new one here with concrete lintel in place of the lower Victorian timber one

Dam good looking changes at that. We extended our house nearly ten years ago, we have the existing bathroom but built on an ensuite and a new bathroom but never fitted them out due to money and time. My biggest problem is that I don't know how to say no to the youth organisation. Just on the run up to remembrance activities and we have a new intake of 24 kids so our bathrooms will have to wait a bit longer again lol

Yep it all takes time and of course money, this one cost £20k for the work customer bought it for £175k 2 bed up the road went went last week for £240k so he has made his money no problem but has still some outside work to do, Rick

I should add that I was under contract to finish by the 1st Oct, Friday was a long and late day and thought that a good day Saturday would sort it, how wrong I was hit loads of snags and finally finished 6am Sunday morning, Rick

I wish I had photos of my house referb. It was a Victorian terrace that hadn't really been touched since it was built, one cold tap indoors, open fires, range, gas lights. The timber floor were all original and came up such a beautiful colour.
But no photos.
