OK, got a new look for the rear of the truck, gone is the chrome rear step bumper
I have fitted the panel that holds the number plate and the trailer electrics are now mounted on this
I have also fitted a pair of super bright LED reverse lights

I have also made a new switch panel that I have installed in the roof lining in front of the front reading lights

looking good mate:thumb2
could do with some decent reverse lights myself as the standard one on the t2 isn't much cop.
i'm in the proccess of fitting a couple of lights on my roof rack for the front but not got round to the rear yet.
mot looming so i'm sorting a few bits out for that first.

look well as does minus step bumper approach, recall yank mag taking
bumper off one of their project build ups, replaced with an apron and
the receiver hitch, sockets and lights, certainly neater less fussy.

got some mini spots with fog beams been in shed, cough 4 years not
fitted, though did run cable down sills of car in anticipation aimed to
fit either side of towbar' crossbar. one day you know nad stop cursing
crappy reverse light factory supplied.

Thanks Chaps
They make a real differance at night and whilst camping last weekend in the Peak District they were fan-bloody-tastic
Thanks again

ooh.. seen that pic befor..

so will need to get more power down the back then.

Love the reversing lights. I think i will have to think of something like that as the T2 one is rubbish really

Just curious why you needed a relay etc.., surely if they are LEDS they draw naff all current and could just utilise the existing reversing light feed?

They come with some funny sort of convertor with cooling fins, one for each lamp so I thought better safe than sorry, also, I wanted them independant of the normal feed as I wanted to be able to light them up without the need for the ignition keys
Hope this explains

mmm unusual, thanks for the clarification.....not sure why you'd need to cool LEDs but there ya go! They sure look the biz though.

Hey Sniffer, nice job boyo:thumbs
I've just done my roof lights and like the look of your toggles:sly
Did you make the carbon look back plate from scratch or is it a Halfords type jobbie?
Also what sort of light output do reckon you get with the LED reverse lights? I'm thinking of them at high level in the rear spoiler,so could be work lights too!Do you think they'd do the job?
Like the look of them as they're nice n slim:cool:

There are combinations of words and phrases aren't there that send a shiver down your spine or drive you to depression, e.g. 'rain' and 'weekend', or 'pub' and 'closed'.

In this case its seeing the handle 'makeitfit' appear in a thread called 'latest mods' :doh telling the world that the eight foot scaffolding watchtower he recently welded to the roof of his long suffering Maverick has just disembowelled a BT linesman before taking out a railway bridge in Merthyr Tydfil.....
:jump

I'm convinced from the short time I've known him that one day he's gonna turn up on a TW4x4 event in a R*nge R*ver chassis powered by a submarine engine with a Robin Reliant strapped on top...with go-faster stripes.

But power to your elbow Pierre, and remember, if in doubt SPRAY IT BLACK! :lol:lol:lol:lol

Toggle switch plate from scratch as I couldnt find one I liked in any shops
As for the LEDs the chap I cought them from reckons they are 55w but I aint sure really, they tend to give off a different type of light and dont have much of a beam as such but really do light up well
Hope this help
