I am after a very low, road legal nudge bar with an axle plate. I can't find any one who makes them for my terrano. The kind i am after are very common on new Mitsubishi L200s.

So i was wondering how easy if at all possible it would be to make an L200 bar fit.
Has anyone tried this before or know anyone who has.

Would it be legal to put an L200 nudge bar on a Terrano? If its not original equipment or made specifically for a Terrano would it be against the regulations?

The nudge bar i would like passes all EU regs,

It is very low so does not need to pass head impact tests.
mounts very close to front of vehicle so will not snap legs in half before rest of the body is impacted by vehicle.
And also fixing brackets are made from a very thick strong plastic which will hold up to any normal abuse but in a major impact will sheer off.

I just want some thing that will protect the vehicle against light impacts and deliberate nudging, and incorporates an axle plate for the same reasons.
As in the picture on the far left here.

I think it might have been the MkIII that came with a road legal bullbar but they were an optional extra and are pretty rare.

Last time I was in France I saw a really neat one that also had seperate tubular rock sliders protecting the sides of the front bumper....very tasty.
